History

Compello AS was established 26. June 2011 from the merger of the 2 companies Client Computing Europe AS and Compello Software AS.

Client Computing Europe AS was the holding company of a corporate structure with Client Computing Norway AS as a Norwegian subsidiary, Client Computing Germany GmbH as a German subsidiary and Client Computing Sweden AB as a Swedish subsidiary.

The part of the business that includes products and solutions for message exchange with a focus on the electricity market, was started up in 1995 under the name SystemCom AS. This business expanded to Sweden in 1998 through the takeover of the Posten/SDS’s EDI business (now Client Computing Sweden AB) and in 2006 to Germany through the acquisition of the German company GLI GmbH (now Client Computing Germany GmbH).

In 2004 the company also engaged in the business area electronic invoice processing with emphasis on a/p invoices and the business to consumer (B2C) segment through investments in Euronova AS, which eventually became a wholly owned subsidiary under the name of Client Computing Norway AS.

The Norwegian activities within message exchange and eInvoice, respectively. organized under the names Client Computing Utility AS and Client Computing Norway AS, were merged into Client Computing Norway AS in the fall of 2010.

Compello Software AS was established in 1997 as a company with products and solutions for electronic invoice processing with emphasis on inbound invoices.
